Victoria Beckham gave an insight into husband David Beckham's birthday celebrations on Thursday as she shared a gallery of snaps on Instagram. 

The former footballer looked thrilled as he marked his 49th birthday with his family at Canton Blue, a Cantonese restaurant at The Peninsula London. 

David was all smiles as he posed with his fashion mogul wife, 50, and three of their children Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and Harper, 12. 

Following the meal, the former athlete looked surprised as he was treated to a Victoria sponge cake with several candles on as his family sang happy birthday amid a backdrop of balloons. 

The Spice Girl wrote: 'Happy Birthday!!! You are our everything!!!', before added she is missing son Brooklyn, 25.

Earlier in the day, Victoria delighted fans as she shared a shirtless clip of her husband as he completed a workout despite it being his birthday. 

The former Manchester United player looked incredible as he posed topless wearing only a pair of tiny blue gym shorts and green trainers. 

As Victoria swooned: 'Birthday boy doing a birthday workout, looking good', David jokily flexed his muscles as he showcased his washboard abs and toned physique. 

David then broke into laughter as Victoria added: 'Happy birthday'.

It isn't the first time Victoria has shared a saucy image of her husband as she regularly ensures her 32.8million Instagram devotees are aware of David's envy-inducing physique. 

Last month she shared a snap of the sportsman pumping iron in the gym in some short shorts in one of the 'thirst traps' alongside the caption: 'You're welcome'. 

As David celebrated his 49th birthday on Thursday, Victoria also gushed that he husband is her 'everything' as she wished him a happy birthday.

The fashion designer shared a sweet couple of images with her partner, which was accompanied by a lovely message saying she loves 'growing really old together'. 

She shared one image from her swanky 50th bash last month as they had a hug, while another throwback saw them posing at a dinner together.

Victoria penned in the caption: 'Happy birthday David. I love us getting really old together! You aren't far behind me!!!! You are our everything!!!!

His son Romeo, 21, also wished his dad a happy birthday on the special day as he shared an adorable snap of them kissing.

One guest told the Mail: 'It was proper old school take your shoes off and have a dance and there was no way Victoria wasn't going to be joining in. She loves a good boogie and she was not going to let her foot stop that. 

'Loads of the women kicked their shoes off to join her. They all danced for hours. There were lots of giggles and lots of outrageous moves but at the end of the night Victoria was worried about how she was going leave. 

'She couldn't walk in her heels because of her broken foot – so David decided he would give her a piggyback – much to the kids' amusement. They thought it was hilarious.'
